I love being able to call someone a friend, and crossing that mark involves a meeting of souls. It is a beautiful thing, friendship…I don’t have many but the ones that I have are treasured and I hold them close. Each of them are unique and special and they bring something to my life that enriches it and makes it better. During this period in my life, realizing how much my friends have held me up makes me smile. So I want to take the time today to say thank you to them for their gifts…they may not know how much I love them, because I am so bad about calling and speaking to them regularly, but know that I am thinking of you, all the time.
S - You are my sister. In you, I have found a soulmate, someone who I can share my deepest thoughts with and share everything with. We laugh and cry together, and fight and make up. You tell me the truth, even when it hurts, but I know it is out of love. I don’t know what I would do without you in my life, and I hope I never have to find out.
BP - Our friendship is different, and some might view it unhealthy. But I love you, and I know that you love me…thank you for caring, and checking on me, and offering your words of encouragement and support.
J - You are so much more than a neighbor to me. You are like a part of my family; one of the few people that I would trust my child with. I hope you know that I am here for you whenever you need me and my words are not just words…we still have to watch the movie, OK?
M - Ours is a new friendship, and it is burgeoning and strong. I knew upon meeting you that we would be close, and I think I told you so. There is just something about you that screams kindness and warmth, and I knew that I wanted to share in that. We have so quickly become friends, and I love how it is so easy for us to talk and laugh and share…
To those not mentioned, I love you. You are all in my prayers and although I may not say it often, I do think of you. Charge my head and not my heart.
