So you know Shaq wasn’t going to let Kobe not winning a championship without him go past without him saying something, right? Watch this:

Let me say first of all, my love for Shaq goes deep…but this shit right here is childish and unnecessary. I realize that he was probably a little lit up (he was in a club) and called himself free-styling, and basically what he said was true (Kobe ain’t won no ring since Shaq left, let’s just keep it real), but the additional shit about Kobe ratting him out and his divorce, and all that “how my ass taste” crap…miss me with that.
I will admit that I got a few giggles in, but on the real, let this one go. I honestly think that Shaq could have shown how much he and Kobe have repaired the rift between them by taking the high road and not saying anything, or at the very least, not coming at him like this. Even if it was all in fun, this was a ball buster. Hitting a man when he’s already down is not cool. Shaq, you lost some points with me, dude.

Update: Seems as though there are repercussions: Shaq is going to lose his deputy badges over this rap…the story is on MSNBC…is it that serious?

I am shocked by the number of deaths in the “celebrity” world this year. This morning I learned of the death of George Carlin, one of the funniest dudes I have ever heard. He died Sunday as a result of heart failure…add his name to the list of those who had a history of heart trouble and succumbed to it.
George Carlin is probably best known for his routine, “Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television.” (beware…) This routine led to a Supreme Court decision on how offensive language would be broadcast (or not broadcast, depending on how you look at it). George was lewd, and offensive, and pushed the envelope to the furthest edge…but he had such a likable personality that you listened to him, and laughed, and enjoyed his perspectives on life.
He will be missed; and even though he didn’t believe in Heaven, I would like to believe that He and Richard Pryor and Redd Foxx and Lenny Bruce are in the afterlife preparing an out of this world comedy show…the true Kings of Comedy…
Yeah, I know…she’s so oversaturated the music scene that you are tired of her. For a moment, entertain me…
I don’t understand it, but I like her. My admiration for Beyonce’ has more to do with her work ethic than anything else; I have watched her work her ass off to get where she is and Bey shows no signs of stopping. That may be both a gift and a curse, as she could be wearing herself thin, and she may have rose so quickly that she never got to enjoy life. But who am I to say this? I don’t know…when you have a passion for something, you will do whatever it takes to achieve it…Beyonce’ has definitely met this qualification.
Hate her or love her, Bey has shown herself to be a mostly positive role model for young girls. She has shown that hard work and perseverance pays off. She has also shown that you can use what you got, but you don’t need to show it all to everyone. She has a unique voice; I say that because she doesn’t sound like anyone I’ve ever heard. Bey’s stage presence is awesome…I’ve never seen her in concert, but having seen her on awards shows, the pure electricity is translated through the tube and you can tell that she is well-organized and maintains a routine of perfection. Bey’s career moves have not been anything to sneeze at either: starring in Dreamgirls, her CDs, the clothing, and probably most notably, hooking up with Jay. Jay gave her street credibility, even more than she had, and cemented her place as the “hottest chick in the game.” On a personal level, the two of them are a true power couple. I happen to think he’s perfect for her…he’s the man who can handle that his wifey is more famous than he and remain cool with that. He also has been in long enough to recognize what she goes through, so the level of support is high. On both a personal and professional level, this was good…
Beyonce’ is a huge talent; so far, she has done good…I hope that she continues to use her head and make decisions that boost her. I could stand a Bey hiatus, as I’m sure we all could. You can’t hold some people down, though…she will continue to do what is best for her. I like that in her…
