Old School Friday: Not Another Sad Love Song

I instantly went to my Anthony Hamilton crate for this one, then remembered that he is outside the time frame…damn! Im’ma throw this one in just because I feel like it; it’s cheating I know, but come on…it’s perfect…

OK, first up…I played this song to death when I was going through my divorce…the one and only Marvin Gaye…

And because I couldn’t decide between these two, here is both the Chicago version and Az Yet version of “Hard For Me To Say I’m Sorry”…Peter Cetera is the BOMB!!!

Finally:

“I want to be the one that you just can’t live without
I want to be the one that you never feel no doubt
I want to be the one that you let give you the lovin’
But, I have nothing…”

WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT THAT?!?

Wouldn’t you know that I picked Anthony Hamilton’s “Charlene” as well! How crazy is that!? I actually changed it though after thinking of a Peter Cetera song that I really like [let me find out we have the same taste in music MsMarvalus]. Chicago/Cetera’s ‘It’s Hard For Me To Say I’m Sorry” is also a timeless classic; you gotta love this passionate 80’s songs.

Oh my goodness! Out of your five picks, I only knew one, the Chicago version of “Hard For Me to Say I’m Sorry.” Thanks for the OSF lesson in sad songs.

Charlene is an excellent pick. I should of used that one. I know I should be excited about Luther but… am I like the only person who just wasn’t feeling Luther?

I love your picks I’m sorry I missed Charlene. I’m getting ready to put one up soon and I wish I hadn’t cheated and looked first.
Are there any other rules I have to follow?

  6. Marvalus Says:

@cooper - Check the OSF tab at the top of my screen…there you will find the rules and others who participate…I will add your name…

    So many…

Wow 2 Peter Cetera in one day what are the odds of that.

My favorite song on here is Marvin Gaye Just to Satisfy You. I didn’t hear this song until Baby Boy, but every since then it has been a favorite. It’s not a sad love song for me, it’s a soulful hit. I can play it over and over, even when things are going great.

I like that Az Yet song, I wonder what happened to them. OOOh, they had some harmony…
